Dark Tales Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat Collector's Edition Review

Follow a mysterious black cat to find out the mystery behind what happened to Sara in this exciting HOG/Adventure game.

Dark Tales Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat Collector's Edition is one pack that you will not want to be without. After the disappearance of Mark Davies wife Sara, the best inspector in town, inspector Dupin is called to find out what happened to her. The residents of the town tell Inspector Dupin that they have seen Sara on the estates grounds and always with her is The Black Cat. Is this a misunderstanding or something more sinister?

First you will go to Sara's home and search for clues that could help with your investigation. While you are there you discover that this is no misunderstanding. Certain parts of Sara's mansion have been blocked off and sealed. Sara's husband Mark Davies seems to be worried about his wife but he is not keen on helping the investigation, however it's the mysterious black cat that leads you through the mansion.

Everything in the Mansion is either locked or needs other things doing to it before being able to use it. Sara's mansion is massive and each location has a number of area's to investigate and most of them area's need to be visited more than once so it is a very good value for money game. Certain items in the scene are interactive and sometimes can be quite frustrating. If you get stuck move your cursor around the scene to make sure you have done everything. If your cursor turns into a hand that means that the scenes can be interacted with.

The dialogue can be skipped but this is all part of the game so I'd highly recommend viewing them. The Black Cat is the best hidden object game since the release of the ravenhearst series so if you are after a game similar I'd download and play this one.
