After Sprill escaped alien captivity in the popular first game, he is back and is eager to help his friend Ritchie who has made a time machine. Everything is going great until the completion of the time machine when something goes horribly wrong and items from different era's are being misplaced. Ritchie is determined to put things right and with the help of Sprill sets out to restore history and put things back in place. Will putting things back to normal fix the problem, or is there something more sinister going on? Help Sprill collect everything that's out of place and put them back in their right timezone.

Sprill and Ritchie Adventures in Time is a classic hidden object game with a twist of adventure. Apart from the classic hidden object scenes, players are also required to complete tasks. Every hidden object you find has a purpose unlike other HOG games were you just need to find the hidden objects to move on. Sprill and Ritchie does a great job in implementing the tasks and items well into the storyline of the game.

There are also 55 huge minigames which are all unique. Minigames range from classic puzzles like matching symbols to more unique puzzles like reassembling broken machines and trinkets. If you are a player who doesn't like to do the minigames or if you find them to hard, the option to skip the minigames is there after an allotted amount of time.

Hints in the game are unlimited and can be replenished. All of the hidden objects are scattered across 33 huge levels in which you never have to revisit which is unlike other HOG games. This gives the game more of an adventure feel and a sense of excitement.
