Virginia Carter is a research assistant and she is about to join the world's famed archaeologist, Professor McNaraand on a mission to unravel the secrets that lay on the ship of the famous Christopher Columbus. The ship was missing for 500 years but the famous duo have recovered it. 3 others before them have disappeared while they were in search of the vessel so Virginia is cautious about climbing aboard, but the professor is so excited that he wastes no time in climbing onto the large ship were he meets the same sad fate as the other's before him. Virginia's is filled with determination to find what's happened to the professor so she climbs aboard in search for answers.

The game has an unusual twist! You can play in regular or scrolling mode which we have never seen in a game of this type before. Regular mode is, well, just that, regular, but in the new scrolling display mode, overlapping foreground and background layers are widened so you will need to scroll across the screen to view the entire scene. As silly as this may sound to some gamers, it is quite significant on gameplay as you will soon find out when playing the game.

One thing that this game lacks is the absence of a journal as you would expect to see in games of this genre. Although this might not be a big issue with some players, I for one like to keep track of what's going on.
